Description
The RAT 2 pedal is the current standard version of the legendary ProCo Rat. The pedals provide a quite high range of gain for a versatile and aggressive distorted tone often used in rock, punk and metal. With lower gain settings though they can also provide smoother distortion sounds.
Features:
- Controls for Distortion, Filter, Volume
- The Filter control reacts like a “reversed” tone poti

A fantastic distortion classic in a unique box. The filter control needs some time to get used to, but it is no real issue. I really like the wide range of gain available and mostly use the pedal for higher gain sounds. If i really want the (quite nice) low gain distortion sound of my Rat pedal I rather switch to the T-Rex Mudhoney, which – at least to my ears – has the same distortion sound with far less gain. So ideal to more easily dial in lower gain version of that sound!
