Does it sound like a Timmy?
No.
Does it sound as good as a “transparent overdrive” as a Timmy?
No.
Does it sound good?
Yes!
In direct comparison the Caline Pure Sky has a harsher base sound and can not really be used quite clean. The controls are similar to a Timmy and you can find settings where they sound very similar. But all in all I would not think of it as a direct clone and if you don’t like the harsher tone it may not be something for you at all. But as a cheap (and quite easy available) alternative for a low/mid-gain overdrive or just to try out another option I highly recommend the Pure Sky.
