Noisegate

Noisegates are used to control basic unwanted noise floors, by cutting of any sounder under a certain threshold (with ot without additional parameters to set it up as usable as possible). They are especially useful for high gain sounds and therefore are often directly integrated into distortion pedals to have everything you need in a box.
