Steve Vai
Steve Vai is a well-known guitar player and composer who has used a wide range of pedals and effects throughout his career. His pedalboard has changed over the years, but at various points in his career, he has used pedals made by companies such as Boss, Ibanez, MXR, and DigiTech.
One of Vai’s most well-known pedalboards is the one he used during the recording of his album “Passion and Warfare.” This pedalboard included pedals such as the Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal, the MXR M-117R Flanger, and the Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer. Vai has also used a number of custom pedals that were built specifically for him, such as the Rocktron HUSH noise reduction pedal and the Rocktron Intellifex digital effects processor.
In addition to his use of traditional stompbox pedals, Vai has also incorporated rack-mounted effects units and digital modeling pedals into his setup. He has used products such as the Line 6 POD and the Eventide Harmonizer to create a wide range of unique and complex sounds.
