AutoWah
AutoWah pedals, also known as envelope filters or envelope followers, are effects pedals that are used to produce a wah-like sound by automatically sweeping the frequency response of the input signal in response to the dynamics of the signal. They are often used to create a “talking” or “singing” sound and are commonly associated with funk and rock music.
AutoWah pedals work by using an envelope detector to track the dynamics of the input signal and modulate the frequency response of the signal in response. They typically feature a range of controls, such as sensitivity, sweep range, and Q, that allow the user to shape the sound of the pedal to achieve the desired effect.
