ABY
An ABY pedal is a type of effects pedal that allows you to switch between two different audio signals, or to combine them into a single output signal. ABY stands for “A or B, Y,” which refers to the three output options available on most ABY pedals.
The “A” and “B” inputs on an ABY pedal correspond to two different audio signals, which can be from different sources or from the same source. The “Y” output allows you to combine the “A” and “B” signals into a single output signal.
ABY pedals are often used to switch between two different amplifiers or other audio equipment, or to combine the signals from two different sources into a single output. They are commonly used by guitarists and bassists to switch between different amplifiers or pedals in their rig, or to switch between a clean and distorted sound.
